Dana Lynn Lavacot

Dana is a fifth year Ph.D. candidate in Mechanical Engineering at Stanford. She earned her B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from UC Berkeley in 2019. At Cal, she was an undergraduate researcher in the Computational Fluid Dynamics Lab, where she worked on aerodynamic shape optimization using deep learning. As part of the Mani Group at Stanford, Dana's research focus is on turbulence modeling, particularly for Rayleigh-Taylor mixing. In her free time, Dana enjoys playing the ukulele, drawing, and gardening.
